Self-defense is the act of defending oneself, one's property or the well-being of another from physical harm.
At Neuro Core, we hold private one-on-one self-defense training, partner training as well as self-defense classes with a certified Taekwondo instructor.

GROUP CLASS DESCRIPTIONS As of January 2009
Seated Self-defense:
This class is designed for those who are full-time wheelchair users looking
to learn and practice self-defense techniques. The class will begin with a
warm-up and stretching of the arms, followed by specific instruction and
practice for blocking, punching, grasping and joint locking techniques. This
class will also include strengthening, balance and appropriate use and
positioning of your chair.
The goal is to create an environment where one can increase their
self-confidence as well as physical conditioning and mental focus.
No uniforms or bowing, just exactly what you need to know when it comes to
real world survival!

Standing Self-Defense:
This class will focus on physical conditioning utilizing fighting and
self-defense techniques, to build self-confidence and increase awareness.
The class will begin with a warm-up and stretching followed by punching and
kicking techniques. In addition, classes will vary to include: self-defense
with a partner, simulated attack scenarios, dealing with a variety of
dangerous situations, and defense against weapons.
